The University of Central Florida

Northeast Orlando is home to one of the country's premier public universities, The University of Central Florida. At over 48,000 students UCF is the 6th largest university in the nation. Specializing in the fields of Business and Science, UCF has made Orlando a country-wide educational destination.

Oviedo

20 Minutes by highway from downtown Orlando, and five minutes north of UCF lies Oviedo. Formally incorperated in 1925 with a population of 800, Oviedo has now grown to over 30,000 residents. Oviedo's roots date back to just after the Civil War when homesteaders came to the area to settle along Lake Jessup and start new lives.

Oviedo features fantastic community facilities including a gymnasiam, pools and a one-of-a-kind Splash Zone for kids, as well as natural wonders such as air boat rides on Lake Jessup and hiking trails along the Econlockhatchee River.
